If you’re new to the podcast welcome if you’re a regular welcome back also we are starting to record these on video as well so you will be able to find the episodes on YouTube if uh you so desire but uh we’ve always said Tom we have a we definitely have a have a good face for radio but um it’s okay and our show it’s all about giving IT leaders unique and valuable insights into what’s going on out there across cyber security, infrastructure, AI strategy, and Leadership and in this episode I was very fortunate to attend the um Microsoft Power Platform conference in Las in Las Vegas uh last week or the week before so got some lots of exciting news uh and insights from there.

G’day Tom

Tom Leyden

g’day Josh good to have you back in the country mate

Josh Rubens

it’s good uh good well it is good to be back although it was between 25 and 32 in Vegas the

whole time I was away

Tom Leyden

and how how’s Vegas looking you uh did you stay out of trouble

Josh Rubens

uh I did I did I did stay out of trouble on this on this occasion um no it was good it was good really really good conference there was it’s the second time they’ve had their specific uh Power Platform conference right and there was about 7,000 attendees yeah well which is which is pretty good and it was all everything was packed the whole the whole way through so…

Tom Leyden

we’ll hear about that in a sec right

so I just got a few couple of news things I think the big news is that um well really depend depends on what you think but um November the 1st Microsoft are releasing their co-pilot apps for all general, general release I think for those of us who couldn’t get onto the trial I think anyone with I think it’s like a Enterprise license get access to co-pilot and that’s across word, excel, Outlook, teams, SharePoint so it’d be interesting to see what what it looks like when it’s unleashed on the general public have you put your hands on it Josh

Josh Rubens

yeah we do our guys, our guys are testing it and actually doing projects in Anga for customers at the moment yeah um um so you pay are you going to pay for the extra M365 you going pilot with some users?

Tom Leyden

I wouldn’t mind seeing it first before

I fork out any money um look I mean from what what we’re seeing on the videos everything it looks like it does your work for you just you just say I need some meeting notes and it goes there you go there’s some meeting notes for you um or um I need this report or can you read my emails for me so it looks looks good is it a silver bullet I I doubt it think it might do 80 % of your work for you it won’t do 100% right what are you seeing Josh?
